Storytelling on site – city as scenery.
The workshop is intended as an introduction to location-based storytelling with sounds and language. After a definition and history of the genre, the main focus will be on concrete tips and tricks on how to create a good audio walk. There are also audio examples. It is about quality criteria, dealing with the great unknowns of the audio walk, acoustic realisation, reference to place, route, guidance and dramaturgy, interactivity, movement and tempo, staging and composition and, of course, platforms for publication. At the end of the day, participants will know what to consider when producing an audio walk and in what order. They will be equipped with the necessary prior knowledge for their first own audio walk.
